Old-worlded eyes

 Poppenoogjes

Scary
is what they can be
Eyes of dolls
Especially those of clowns
They give me
cold chills

When I was young
I had a doll
in my bedroom
A very big doll
It was a majorette
Or a Scottish lady
playing the Bagpipe
I do not remember
   But still her eyes
Azure blue
With real lashes
and blinking eyelids

Oh .. I was so afraid of her
Dared not to look
  alone in my bed
Could not go to sleep

Eventually
I pressed both eyes
My mother was not so happy
A doll with eyes
in her belly.
